Turkey is still evaluating possible participation in Canada’s Defence Security and Resilience Bank (DSRB), defence ministry sources told Reuters when asked about Turkey’s position on the initiative.
The sources also said Turkey had closely monitored and joined the negotiations in Montreal ahead of the DSRB’s establishment, and was a party in the joint declaration announcing the initiative on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Ankara this week.
On Friday, a Turkish source had said Turkey was not able to commit to the DSRB at this stage after consultations between the relevant Turkish authorities.
