If you need or want the company of others to cheers on the Toronto Blue Jays, the city has announced free viewing parties for all remaining 2025 Blue Jays postseason games, beginning with the American League Division Series (ALDS).
Fans are being told to “bring their Blue Jays gear, family and friends, and their playoff spirit.”
“Toronto is a baseball city and when it’s the postseason, we want everyone to experience the excitement together,” said Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow in a statement.
“These viewing parties are our way of turning every corner of the city into one big cheering section. Let’s make some noise for the Jays!”
The city also points out that “viewing parties also offer a chance to enjoy and support Toronto’s many local restaurants and venues before and after the games, turning each matchup into a celebration of both the team and the city.”
The first viewing party was Wednesday Oct. 8 at 7:08 p.m. at Mel Lastman Square, 5100 Yonge St. followed by the second one on Friday at 8:08 p.m. – Albert Campbell Square, 150 Borough Dr. (if necessary).
If the Blue Jays advance, all American League Championship Series (Oct. 12-Oct. 20) and World Series (Oct. 21- Nov. 1) viewing parties will be hosted at Nathan Phillips Square.
