The traditional rulers and Baales in Alimosho Local Government might have drawn the ire of Lagos state Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu for endorsing the Lead Visioner of Lagos4Lagos Movement, Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran popularly known as Jandor for Governor in 2023.
According to a source close to the traditional rulers, the governor was not comfortable with the stance of the Obas and Baales who unanimously endorsed Jandor.
Though, the move may have rattled Sanwo-Olu who’s battling to get the second term nod amidst backstabbing from his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamsat who’s also scheming to outsmart his boss, the traditional rulers according to our source are not bothered by the threat.
“ The Obas did not mince words when they endorsed their son for governor and they have no apology for that. After all, the Oba of Lagos, HRM Rilwan Akiolu 1, endorsed governor Akinwumi Ambode In 2014 ahead of 2015 election and Heaven did not fall, so what’s the fuss about the Alimosho Traditional rulers endorsing Jandor.” Said a source who craves anonymity.
It’s not clear what sanction will be meted to the Obas and Baales who were at the Onigando Palace on Tuesday for the endorsement.
