Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has called on some of the country’s biggest Afrobeats stars, including Burna Boy, Davido and Asake, to use their influence and resources to support poor and vulnerable Nigerians through charitable foundations.
She encouraged the music stars to give back to society by establishing or strengthening initiatives that provide assistance to those in need, noting that their success places them in a unique position to positively impact many lives.
The First Lady also appealed to Nigerians to embrace dignity in labour and refrain from looking down on any legitimate means of earning a living. She stressed that honest work, regardless of its nature, deserves respect and should be encouraged as a pathway to self-reliance and national development.
Oluremi Tinubu urged citizens to continue supporting one another, especially during challenging economic times, while promoting compassion, hard work and community service as values that can contribute to a stronger and more united Nigeria.
