India’s Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said on Sunday there was no immediate need to revise federal budget numbers despite risks from erratic monsoons and higher global oil prices, as the government had set aside sufficient buffers for any shocks.
Inflation is being driven by both external factors and erratic monsoon conditions, Sitharaman said.
Do not expect to readjust budget numbers at this stage, finance minister says.
