Several groups under the auspices of Arewa Decides 2023 embarked on a solidarity road walk in Katsina State on Friday in support of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar and his running mate Dr Ifeanyi Okowa.
The road walk, which kickstarted from Liyafa Junction, along Katsina Ring Road, ended at the Katsina PDP headquarters with over 74 groups participating.
The convener of the rally Kabiru Gambo on arrival at the PDP headquarters in Katsina told party supporters that youths are already disturbed by the daily problems of insecurity, poverty, hunger, unemployment, and other associated challenges hindering the country’s development.
He, therefore, urged the youths to come back to their senses and support the PDP candidates from top to bottom in order to address the lingering problems.
“We were in Adamawa, Kwara, and Kano states as well as Abuja; and we are now here in Katsina State,” he stated.
Also speaking during the rally, the immediate past PDP Youth Leader in charge of the Northwest Zone and a member of the Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Organisation Hamza Yunusa Jibia announced that the rally, which is out to show that Atiku has support in Katsina, was attended by about 10,000 youths.
The Katsina State Chairman of the party Lawal Magaji represented by Ibrahim Galadima received the solidarity groups at the PDP headquarters in Katsina and expressed happiness over the visit.
He urged voters to back all PDP candidates in the forthcoming 2023 elections.
Katsina is the second home to Atiku Abubakar; we feel your visit as if it’s Atiku himself visiting us.
“The unprecedented support Atiku enjoyed here in Katsina during his last week’s rally in the state is more than any other state he’s visited so far.
“We want to assure you that Atiku will get votes in Katsina more than any other state,” he added.
