Canadian rapper Drake has released a new album along with two surprise companion albums, delivering a total of 43 tracks that run for nearly two and a half hours.
The artiste, who has maintained a relatively low profile since his public feud with Kendrick Lamar ended with the hit diss track “Not Like Us” and the dismissal of Drake’s lawsuit against his record label, had earlier announced the release of “Iceman.”
However, fans were surprised when two additional projects, “Habibti” and “Maid of Honour,” were released at the same time.
Several major artistes collaborated on the albums, including Future, 21 Savage and Sexyy Red.
Drake also continued references to his rivalry with Kendrick Lamar. On the track “Make Them Remember,” he mocks Lamar’s height, which had been a recurring topic during their rap battle.
According to media reviews, Drake also takes aim at Jay-Z, J. Cole, Pusha T, A$AP Rocky and basketball legend LeBron James in several songs across the projects.
