Nigerian music stars Rema, Burna Boy, and Davido have been confirmed to perform at various major events during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, marking a significant achievement for Nigerian music on the global stage.
According to FIFA, Burna Boy will perform at the tournament’s opening ceremony in Mexico City, while Rema will perform at the opening ceremony in Los Angeles. Davido is set to headline the World Cup Countdown Concert Series in Los Angeles.
At the opening ceremony in Mexico City, Burna Boy will perform the song Dai Dai alongside Colombian superstar Shakira for the first time.
Other performers scheduled for the Mexico City opening ceremony include Alejandro Fernández, Belinda, Lila Downs, Los Ángeles Azules, Maná, Danny Ocean, J Balvin, and Tyla.
Rema will perform at the Los Angeles opening ceremony alongside Future, Katy Perry, Anitta, Tyla, and LISA.
Davido will also perform in Los Angeles as part of the World Cup Countdown Concert Series. FIFA announced that the concert will feature Major Lazer alongside Davido.
FIFA described the event as a high-energy celebration of music, football, and culture.
In addition to their live performances, Ayra Starr, Davido, Rema, and Burna Boy have been included on the official soundtrack album for the tournament.

Davido teamed up with Nelly Furtado and Major Lazer on No Place Like Home.
