The first class paramount ruler, Oluwo of Iwoland, HRM Oba
Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, Telu I, has announced the introduction of
bounty hunting to uncover hiding criminals to make our society a safe
haven.
The announcement was contained in a press statement by his press
secretary, Alli Ibraheem following the complaints of house
vandalization by residents of Oke-Isaji area of Iwo.
It was reported that some unknown miscreants have clandestinely
destroyed both completed and uncompleted buildings in the area
(Oke-Isaji), a development that triggered the residents of the
community to approach Oluwo for royal direction.
Addressing the victims, Oba Akanbi directed the casualties to intimate
government authorities most especially the police men, pointing that
the offence is criminal case. Oba Akanbi added informing the police
will expedite necessary clandestine investigation to unveil the crooks
behind the crime.
Oluwo further suggested the machination of bounty for whoever has
information of the perpetrators, saying the person will be awarded
reasonable amount of money.
The monarch appealed to the victims to maintain peace and advised them
to privy the traditional ruler of the area for useful information.
“I will advise you to be calm and take legal step since because it is
a criminal case. Approach the police with useful information, they
will investigate and disclose the perpetrators”.
“In addition to that, you can contribute and announce #50,000
bounties for anyone with useful information. With that, you will come
back to thank me. And from now henceforth, that is the method I will
be using in my domain to unveil criminals” said Oluwo.
One of the victims hinted the enmity between the warring princes of
the community as the root, affirming the land feud has divided them
and resorted to vandalizing their property. According to him, I have
completed my house and preparing to pack in only to get to see my
house has been destroyed. Not only my house, two other houses were
vandalized by the miscreants and this is not the first time of
witnessing such.
The victim appealed to Oluwo to lend useful advice that will aid the
identification of the perpetrators and make Oke-Isaji a peaceful
community
