On Monday afternoon, police said 56-year-old Steven Fredrickson had been captured and was in custody.
A warning was issued on April 20 that Fredrickson had not returned to the home, despite a court order mandating he be there nightly.
Frederickson had been released from prison but was considered to be violent and posed a risk to the public.
He is designated a long-term offender because he has been convicted of a crime on at least three occasions. He was on a long-term supervision order when he escaped.
