Yahaya Bello, the governor of Kogi state, has taken to social media to celebrate this year’s Valentine’s Day with Amina Oyiza Bello, his first wife.
February 14, which is Valentine’s Day, is marked annually. It has also become a significant cultural, religious, and commercial celebration of romance and love across the world.
Bello took to his Twitter page on Wednesday to put out a 140-second video showing a string of throwback pictures with Amina.
The footage showed what appeared to be the different shades of Bello; from his struggling days to his rise to the upper echelons of power.
Amina was also captured in all the photos — some of which showed the couple enjoying a plethora of lovey-dovey moments.
Bello spiced up the background of the video with ‘Because You Loved Me,’ the 1998 hit song by Celine Dion, the award-winning Canadian singer.
“Happy Valentine’s Day,” he wrote.
The 46-year-old politician has served as the governor of Kogi state since 2016.
A member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bello is believed to be the youngest governor in Nigeria throughout his term in office.
He is a lover of sports and fitness, especially boxing.
The governor is married to two wives.
Amina Oyiza Bello is the governor’s first wife while Rashida Yahaya Bello is the first lady of Kogi.
