There are indications that scores may have died as a result of the building that collapsed in the premises of the Synagogue Church of All Nations owned by Pastor Temitope Joshua.An eyewitness confirmed to The Eagle Online that the 8-storey building had workers numbering about 130 working when it suddenly levelled to the ground.The rescue team is evacuating people trapped under the building including foreign visitors of different nationals.It was gathered that swift reaction by the rescue team has also reduced casualty to the barest minimum.About 20 ambulances from nearby private and general hospitals have so far evacuated many casualties to the hospital.The Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies have condoned off the scene to halt access by onlookers.As a result of this, there is a serious traffic gridlock on Ikotun-Egbe road leading to Cele, Okota axis.A church member who spoke under the condition of anonymity said they never had premonition of the sudden occurrence, but only heard a sound and everyone started running helter skelter.According to him, “Our General Overseer is around because he conducted a service yesterday and I just wonder what he will be going through right now”.The cause of the collapse is still unclear as at the time of filling this report.
