Toronto police say an officer has been stabbed during a confrontation with a suspect at a Tim Hortons in the College Street and Lansdowne Avenue area on Friday afternoon.
Police say the suspect has been shot.
Both were rushed to hospital with serious injuries. There’s no word at this point on what led to the interaction.
No further details are immediately available.
It’s the latest in a string of recent incidents where Toronto police officers have been injured on the job.
