President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently meeting with the Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Dr Okonjo-Iweala, who walked into the Villa a few minutes after 3pm, was accompanied by Dr Ali Pate, one of the president’s ministers-designate.
Addressing the media after the meeting, Okono-Iweala said she and Pate met the President on how to assist the country “during this period”.
She said although she was not on official duty, there was need to offer the support she could as a Nigerian.
Okonjo-Iweala said she and Pate looked forward to support the people of Nigeria.
