National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Sen. Alimodu Sheriff has reiterated that, the beginning of the victory of the party has come to Osun State while declaring that the part is now one.
Sheriff, made this known on Wednesday at Apomu in Isokan local government area of the state while addressing the teeming party supporters during the PDP campaign for the Osun West senatorial by-election slated for Saturday July 8.
“Today is the commencement of the transformation of the PDP, Osun state PDP are intact today and that is also shows that unity has come to the entire state, I want this unity to continue after Adeleke’s election am sure my friend Senator Omisore will agree with me”.
He introduced the party’s candidate, Otunba Ademola Adeleke as the party flag bearer for the senatorial by-election urging people of the town to vote enmass for PDP on Saturday.
Also speaking at the event, the Osun State PDP Chairman,Hon.Olasoji Adagunodi admonished the crowd to vote in Otunba Adeleke come July 8 poll.
He charged them to embark on house to house campaign to convince the electorates on the need to vote for the party’s candidate.
He urged the party faithful in the local governments visited to monitor their votes from the polling booth to the final collation center in Iwo,the senatorial district headquarter, in other to avoid manipulations.
In his own words, the Party Candidate, Otunba Ademola Adeleke, implored the party faithfuls in the district to vote for him during the poll in other to end the tenure of the All Progressive Congress in the state, who he claimed had held the state in jugular in the last seven years.
He promised the electorates in the local government to continue with the giant strides of his late brother, late senator Isiaka Adeleke and promised to disburse 25million naira per local government for scholarship if voted for as senator.
