South West Governors to meet in Ogun over insecurity

The Ogun State Government will host the meeting of the South West Governors’ Forum on Monday, April 24, 2017.
The meeting is scheduled to hold at the Government House, Oke-Igbein, Abeokuta, the state capital.
According to the release signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Taiwo Adeoluwa, a copy of which was made available to our correspondent, the meeting aims at further evaluating the key areas of cooperation that will foster unity and progress towards the development of the region.
The statement read in part, “It will also explore areas of collaboration that would engender good governance.
“Some of the thematic areas to be discussed are export development initiatives for the western region, and security, in view of the current contemporary unwholesome activities of some criminal elements parading themselves as militants now ravaging parts of the region.”
