A former federal lawmaker and social critic, Senator Shehu Sani, has scolded the Nigerian and the Kaduna State governments over their silence, one month after the Kaduna State Labour Party Women leader, Victoria Chintex, was murdered by gunmen.
Senator Sani decried the fact that neither the federal government, Kaduna State government, federal and state legislators nor federal and state security agencies issued a statement on the incident.
Victoria Chintex who was the Labour Party Women leader in the Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna state died on November 30, 2022 after gunmen invaded her residence in Kaura and shot her.
It was gathered that Victoria’s husband was also shot in his leg during the attack.
However, as of December 31, 2022, a month after the incident, neither the federal nor the Kaduna State government issued a statement on the incident. Also, neither federal, state legislators nor federal or state security agencies issued any statement on the incident.
Recalling the unfortunate incident and the government’s unjustified silence, Senator Sani said, “Thirty days after the assassination of Victoria Chintex in the presence of her husband, no statement from the Federal and Kaduna state government.
“No statement from the Federal and state legislators from Kaduna State. No statement from all the security agencies
