Ayra Starr, the Nigerian songstress, has debunked the rumour of being romantically involved with Rema.
In a recent interview with Kiss FM, the music star said she is just being informed about the rumour.
“I haven’t heard that before,” she said.
When asked to confirm if it’s true, Ayra Starr said Rema is like a brother to her.
“No, that’s my brother in Christ o,” she said.
In December 2022, Rema opened up about the nature of his relationship with Ayra Starr.
He said at some point in his career, he could not attend social events or parties without her because she is a vibe.
“Ayra is a vibe. There are a lot of times… It got to a point where I just could not go out to parties without Ayra. She is a vibe and she has ginger,” Rema had said.
Ayra Starr has continued to enjoy fame since she was signed to Mavin Records, the music label owned by Don Jazzy.
In July 2021, the singer dropped ‘Bloody Samaritan’, a track off her debut album ‘19 & Dangerous’.
The songstress and Kelly Rowland teamed up for the remix of the song the following year.
The singer has also won several awards and recognition.
Ayra Starr was nominated at the 2021 Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards for the best African music act.
