Rainstorm on Thursday evening wrecked havoc on the palace of Olowu of Owu Kuta, Oba Adekunle Oyelude Makama Tegbosun III in Osun state.
It was confirmed that the rainstorm blew off the roof of a section of his Palace and destroyed over fourty houses in the community.
The traditional ruler’s cars were vandalised severely after the debris of the blown off roof fell on the cars.
Sources at the palace informed the media men who visited the Palace that the His Royal Majesty was not at the palace when the disaster occurred
It was gathered that Oba Makama was in Abuja as at the time of the incident for.
Meanwhile, vandalised property were said to be running to millions of Naira.
The monarch while speaking about the incident via his Facebook page said ‘ I give glory to the Almighty King of kings, our palace was visited by Natural Disaster today with heavy rain and wind storm destroying major sections of the palace, no life lost, Alhamdulillah.”
