“Queen Elizabeth II is under medical supervision at her Balmoral estate after doctors became concerned for her health, Buckingham Palace says.
Members of the royal family are now travelling to Scotland to be with the 96-year-old monarch amid the health fears.
“Following further evaluation this morning, the Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision,” reads the statement from Buckingham Palace.
The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral.”
The news of the health concerns come after Elizabeth postponed a meeting of senior governmental advisers on Wednesday night, when doctors advised her to rest.

On Tuesday, the Queen had a full day of activities as she presided over the ceremonial handover power to new Prime Minister Liz Truss at her summer residence.
The Privy Council, a group of the monarch’s senior advisers, was due to formally swear in Truss and her new Cabinet members at Wednesday’s meeting. The session will be held at a later date.
Buckingham Palace has cancelled Friday’s ‘Changing of the Guard’ ceremony amid the health fears. Large crowds began to gather in front of the palace after word of the Queen’s condition was made public.
The Queen has been largely out of the public eye recently, suffering from mobility issues. She marked seven decades on the throne this year and has increasingly handed over duties to her heir Charles, and other members of the royal family.
Elizabeth skipped a church service honouring her 70 years on the throne in June after experiencing some “discomfort.”
Royal Family Members Travelling To Be With Queen Amid ‘Health Concerns’
Sources have confirmed her immediate family members have all been notified of Elizabeth’s condition and are either at her side or on their way.
Her son, Prince Charles, and his wife Camilla are already with the Queen after travelling to her residence at Balmoral Castle. Elizabeth’s other three children are also there.
A Kensington Palace source confirms her eldest grandson Prince William is on route.
Multiple reports suggest Prince Harry is on his way to Scotland as well. Harry and Meghan Markle were scheduled to be at a charity event in London on Thursday evening.
The Queen’s husband, Prince Philip, died in April 2021 at the age of 99 after being in and out of hospital in the months prior.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau sent his best wishes to the Royal Family and offered support from all Canadians.

New British Prime Minister Liz Truss tweeted the whole country “will be deeply concerned by the news,” after learning of the Queen’s health concerns.
