The Police have deployed more operatives to the Maitama residence of Senator Dino Melaye in Abuja in order to get him arrested.
The police had laid siege to the house since Friday.
According to the Force Public Relations Officer, Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police Jimoh Moshood, Melaye is wanted in connection with an attack on a policeman.
Melaye is wanted for attempted homicide, Moshood said.
On Sunday, the police increased the presence of its operative in the house.
Newsmen were prevented from moving close to the house.
