Phyno, the Nigerian singer, has teamed up with Burna Boy, the Afrofusion star, for the remix of his track ‘Do I’.
The original song was released in September. On Wednesday, Phyno announced the remix of the song via X.
In the remix, the singers croon about not paying attention to the opinion of other people.
“Yeah, touch down oso ga eme/ They know that I’m not one of them/ Odogwu looking like a million bucks/ Clean like a religious song/ Alhamdulilah, in God I trust/ Heard them for the street dem Dey Corner talk,” the lyrics read.
“No be chyce na kolanut/ Me I no Dey gree like Donald Trump/ Makinde, Solo makinde, General solo makinde/ Different style we Dey use slap them face/ U know my style na follow come/ And I no go lie I Dey kolo small/ And you talk, say I no show love.
“Do I look like I give a f**k/ Do I look like I give a f**k/ Do I look like I give a f**k.”
Phyno started his career as a producer in 2003. He is renowned for rapping in the Igbo language.
Phyno once said he spits his bars in his dialect because he respects his culture and loves being himself.
Burna Boy, on the other hand, started to gain fame in 2013 after releasing ‘Like to Party’, the lead single from his debut album ‘L.I.F.E’.
In 2021, the singer set a record in Nigeria after his fifth album ‘Twice As Tall’ won the ‘Best World Music Album’ category at the Grammys.
