Oyo L/G Poll: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Wins 32 Local Government Election

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo state has floored other political parties in 32 out of the 33 Local Government Areas in the state in the election held yesterday May 22, 2021.

This announcement was made by the Chairman of the Oyo state Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC) Olagunju Isiaka SAN on Sunday May 23, 2021 in the conference room of the commission.

After listening to the results of the presiding officers of each local government the Chairman declared all the candidates of PDP in 32 Local government winners of the election except for Ido local government.

Recall that the Ido local government election was suspended due to the omission of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) omission on the ballot paper.

The election was thereby postponed to Wednesday May 26, 2021 to enable voters vote for their desired candidate.
