Ottawa firefighters rescued one person from a fire in an apartment building on Cambridge Street on Friday, Oct. 6.
Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) received multiple 9-1-1 calls just after 8 p.m. Friday evening reporting smoke and flames from a two-storey building.
Crews confirmed that flames were shooting out of windows on the second floor of the structure.
One person was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition, and no other information was provided.
OFS said several people have been displaced due to the fire.
The fire’s cause is under investigation.
