The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Osun State, will on Monday begin its campaign for Osun-West Senatorial District by election as the campaign trains move across the ten local government areas of the zone.
The party which as in the last three weeks concentrate on consultation visit to towns and cities in the area also held several stakeholders meeting to canvasses for support and votes.
The candidates of the party for the by election which would hold on Saturday the 8th days of July, 2017, Otunba Ademola Nurudeen Adeleke along side party Chieftains including the Chairman of the party in the state, Mr Soji Adagunodo have been educating electorates on the need to vote massively for the party and its candidates in the forthcoming election.
A statement by the Director-General of Ademola Nurudeen Adeleke’s Campaign Organisation, Mr. ‘Dele Adeleke, said the campaign train will move from Isokan, Ayedaade and Ayedire local governments on Monday while it will be the turn of Ede-South, Ede-North as well as Olaoluwa local government area on Tuesday.
Adeleke, noted that the campaign train would move to lrewole and lwo local government areas on Wednesday while the people of Egbedore and Ejigbo would play host to the party on Thursday.
The DG called on all the party supporters and electorates to troop out emassee to display their support and loyalty for the party, saying PDP remains the only party that could give people of the area quality representation in the Senate.
The campaign Director-General who urged the party supporters to eschew violence during the campaign charged the security agencies to curtain the excess of APC to forestall any form of attack from the party during the campaign.
Dele Adeleke, condemned in its totality, the recent attack unleashed on PDP supporters in Okinni and Ido-Osun, describing the act as barbaric and uncivilized, calling on security agencies to investigate the matter.
The Director-General emphasised the need for electorate to come out on July 8th to vote for PDP without fear or intimidation, saying there vote was their power to stimulate good governance and good representation.
