The Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT Osun State Wing has expressed shock over the death of late Timilehin Oluwafemi Sonibare who was a 400 level Bio-Chemistry Student of Osun State University, UNIOSUN Osogbo.
The Union Leadership, in a Press Statement issued by both the State Chairman and Secretary, Comrade Wakeel Alade Amudah and Comrade Mohammed Abdulahi respectively shortly after their condolence visit to the parents of the deceased, Mr & Mrs Sonibare on Thursday, sympathised with the parents who are both Teachers under Osun NUT.
According to the statement, the union feel pained that such unfortunate incidence is happening to a family that is scheduled with the responsibility of taking care of other parents children in school.
“The NUT wish to implore the state government to urgently bring the perpetrators of this callous and disdain act to book and let it serve as a lesson to others in Osun State”, the statement added.
The Osun NUT however prayed that, God would give the parents the fortitude to bear the loss.
It would be recalled that, Sonibare Timileyin Oluwafemi was killed by the suspected ritualists.
