The Nigeria Union of Teachers, Osun State Wing has announced the transfer of their former state Secretary, Comrade Mohammed N. Abdullahi to Oyo state wing of the union.
According to the state Chairman, Comrade (Alhaji) Wakeel Alade Amudah and the Publicity Secretary, Comrade Rasheed Adepoju in a Statement issued on Thursday and made available in Osogbo, a new Secretary has been deployed to Osun state to take over from Comrade Mohammed Abdullahi, he is Comrade Salami Bariyu Olukayode.
The statement, notified the government of the state, generality of teachers in both primary and secondary schools across the state and the general public while soliciting support of all for the new Secretary, Comrade Salami Bariyu Olukayode.
Similarly, the leadership of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, Osun State Wing has also congratulated the governor of the state, Mr Isiaka Gboyega Oyetola over the resounding and overwhelming victory he recorded at the Supreme Court last Friday.
This was also disclosed in a statement jointly signed by the state Chairman of the union, Comrade (Alhaji) Wakeel Alade Amudah, the Secretary, Comrade Salami B.Olukayode and the Publicity Secretary, Comrade Adepoju A.Rasheed.
The statement commended the Supreme Court judgement and described the reaffirmation of Governor Oyetola as the duly elected governor of Osun state as true reflection of the wish of the good people of the state.
The statement further expressed the heartfelt felicitation to the entire teachers of the state and registered their continual loyalty, commitment and support for the government in his efforts to transform the state to next enviable level through developmental programmes and policies particularly in the provision of good welfare packages for Human (Teachers) Capital and Education Development.
The union, however wished Mr Governor sound health and divine wisdom required of him to unravel the potentials embedded in the state such that expected dividends of democracy could be made available to all citizenry and finally assured of him, the Union’s esteem regards of all times.
