Vice President Yemi Osinbajo (SAN), his wife, Dolapo, and the First Lady, Hajiya Aisha Buhari, have expressed sadness over the death of the late Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari.
In separate statements made available to State House Correspondents on Saturday, the Vice President and the First Lady, sent their heartfelt condolences to the widow of the late Chief of Staff, Hajiya Kulu Kyari.
In his statement by his spokesman, Mr Laolu Akande, the Vice President prayed for the family of the deceased.
“Dolapo and I express our sympathies to the President, Mrs Kulu Kyari, the children, and members of the family on the passing of the late Mallam Abba Kyari, Chief of Staff to the President. May the Lord comfort and be with you all in Jesus name”, the statement said.
Hajiya Buhari, in a message she personally signed, prayed God to forgive the deceased’s sins even as she prayed for strength and patience for the family he left behind.
She also prayed generally for all who had been infected with the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) disease, asking for them to get speedy recovery.
“From God Almighty we came and to him we shall return.
“I condole with Mrs. Kulu Abba Kyari and the entire family of Late Malam Abba Kyari over the death of their husband and father.
“I pray that Allah (SWT) will forgive his shortcomings, grant him Al-Jannatul Firdausi and give the family the fortitude and patience to bear the loss, Ameen.
“While wishing all those infected a speedy recovery and I pray for an end to COVID-19 Pandemic,” Mrs. Buhari said.
