Governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Barr. Eyitayo Jegede, has picked a member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Gboluga Ikengboju, as his running mate.
Hon Ikengboju is currently representing Irele/Okitipupa.
Jegede settled for Hon Ikengboju after a meeting with critical stakeholders of the Ondo PDP.
It was gathered that Jegede rejected entreaties to pick one of the aspirants that contested against him at the primary.
He was said to have told those pressuring him that he needed a running mate he could trust.
Some loyalists of the aspirants that lost at the primary said they are waiting for directives to know the next political steps.
