Mohbad, a former artiste of Marlian Records, which is owned by Naira Marley, passed away on Tuesday at the age of 27.
Taking to her Instastory, Omowunmi revealed the singer struggled with a lot of pain and fears before his demise.
She said Mohbad was never really happy, adding that he was always involved in altercations wherever he went.
“This Nigga struggled till death, too many pains, threatening. He had always lived with fears, continuous fights everywhere he goes too, he has never been happy for a whole day. He was called a junkie, a mad person, mental issue so the public would have another view about him. He is dead at least you all won, take your trophy,” she wrote.
“You all made me a widow at 24 years. Olorun idajo re daaa?(God! Where’s your Judgement?). Nothing makes him happy any more, even after seeing his baby he became more worried, he is now a family man he does not want anything to happen to us.
“I was supposed to collect my baby’s passport yesterday so we could process our travelling, he always says to me. ‘Wunmi pls go for my baby’s sake, I would not want these people to harm you and him it will break me. You just go, let me face them myself.’ Ilerioluwa rest in peace. You really need that peace.”
While the cause of death remains unknown, an outpouring of tributes has continued to usurp social media platforms from Nigerians — including celebrities.
