The Ogun State Indigenes living abroad under the canopy of the Ogun State Diasporans has endorsed Prince Dapo Abiodun for re-elected as the Governor of the Gate way state come 2023.
In a communique signed by the coordinator of the group Engr Oluyemi Ogundele in Vienna Austria, the group claimed that after a clinical observation of all the candidates contesting for the exulted position, they discovered that only the incumbent Prince Dapo Abiodun can bring the state to the next level. He is therefore the best man for the job.
They believed that his achievements so far can only be consolidated by another four years of governance. Continuity is the magic word. They listened a lot of achievements made so far by the incumbent. Prominent among them are the construction of the ultra-modern Cargo Airport the first of its kind in Nigeria, the uncommon transformation of the state, massive infrastructural development, youth employments, turning the state into a major industrial hub and construction of avoidable Houses for the masses.
They also mentioned the encouragement of public, private partnerships (PPP) by the state government.
On his own personal contribution to the state development, Engr Oluyemi Ogundele mentioned his pet project the biannual Adire International Carnival which supports medium and low scale industries in Ogun State in Adire production.
He said apart from promoting culture and tourism, the project also promotes commerce. He also mentioned his efforts to encourage Ogun State Diasporans to come back home to invest and support the state government transformation agenda. He cited the David Alaba foundation project that provided a 15.3 million Naira ultra-modern toilet facility to Ogere Remo community in Ogun State. He said he facilitated the project.
He concluded by promising that he and the entire Ogun State Diasporans would continue to support the governor and his team as they move the state forward. He also mentioned that many other projects are already in the pipeline.
