Before today, the Agberos or “good boys or girls,” meaning “thugs,” had never even dreamed of meeting or seeing a former president, much less one of Africa’s most esteemed political figures.
However, chief Olusegun Obasanjo, a former president of Nigeria, met with these outstanding students from the Eko Inspire Me Academy today.
The former leader had assured the project’s initiator, ARA, that he would lend his support to her Eko Inspire Me By ARA initiative. Obasanjo has kept his promise.
The former president engaged in an interactive session with these good boys and girls as a part of the Academy’s mentoring program.
The conversation took place in the penthouse of his presidential library in Abeokuta.
It was a beautifully glorious moment for these exceptional students.
