A group of youths in Oyo state under the umbrella of The Democratic Youths Movement, (TDYM) has accused the governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde of allowing a none-indigene to hijack his government.
The group in a statement signed by its Coordinator, Abdulkabir
Tayelolu in Ibadan said that it has identified one of the close
associates of governor Makinde who is a none-indigene of the State but
working against the interest of the real indigenes of the state for
his selfish interest.
The group said that it has gathered that even the commissioners
are afraid of the individual who is an indigene of Ilesha in Osun
State.
The statement reads in part; “the attention of the youths in Oyo state
has been drawn to the enormous power of one of the friends of the
governor who has not been working for the development of Oyo state but
for his selfish interest.”
Speaking further, the group vowed that it would soon reduce the
enormous influence of the none-indigene of the state, who appeared to
be using his closeness with the governor of the state, Seyi Makinde to
dictate to him.
“He usually misleads the governor at the detriment of the people of
Oyo state. We can’t take that anymore.
We understand how the individual who hailed from Ilesha in Osun state with his machinations convinced the governor to sack his personal assistant who is our
brother.”
He therefore urged the governor to watch his back to know who are the
real friends and those who are those pretending to be his associates,
rather than accepting all the advises given to him by his friends.
