For the 15th consecutive day, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Saturday reported zero new COVID-19 related deaths across the country.
The COVID-19 death toll in the country remains unchanged at 2,177.
According to the agency’s update for June 19, 2021, the country also recorded 51 new coronavirus cases in four states and the federal capital territory.
Lagos topped the list with 41 fresh infections, followed by Rivers with five new cases, and Gombe with three.
Other states that recorded new positive samples are FCT (1) and Akwa Ibom (1).
Also, 10 persons were discharged on Saturday after recovering from the virus, raising the country’s total number of recoveries to 163,550.
A total of 167,206 coronavirus cases have now been confirmed across the country.
