The Nigerian government on Monday says it has received another batch of 99 Stranded Nigerians repatriated back to the country from Niger Republic.
There were infants among those repatriated, according to the statement obtained by SaharaReporters on Monday.
The National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons and Other Related Matters (NAPTIP), the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) carried out the reception at the Cargo Wing of the Murtala Muhammad International Airport upon arrival.
The returnees who were assisted back to the country in a voluntary capacity by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) landed at about 1415 hours, with the chartered flight Sky Mali with registration number TZ-SMA.
According to the report, Boeing 737-500 had 15 adult females including 2 with medical cases and 76 adult males, 7 female children, 15 male children, 1 female and infants respectively aboard the aircraft.
