Mohbad’s wife cheated on him with another Marlian signee, dad alleges
The management of Mohbad has refuted a claim made by Joseph Aloba, the father of the late singer, regarding his son leaving a will before his demise.
Mohbad died under mysterious circumstances on September 12.
Since the singer’s death, the father has continued to express grievances towards Omowunmi, Mohbad’s wife.
He accused her of threatening to kill him and added that a DNA test must be conducted to find out the paternity of Liam, Mohbad’s son.
In a recent interview, Aloba alleged that he found a lawyer, rather than a doctor, at his son’s residence after his passing.
He alleged that he was shocked to find out that his son had a will, unlike himself in his 60s.
He claimed that the will was thumbprinted and that Mohbad would have opted for a signed one if it was not doctored.
In response to Aloba’s claims, the management, in a statement, denied the existence of a will, saying “if there was one, it would have been duly registered with the probate registry”.
The statement said all accounts owned by Mohbad were placed on a “post no debit order on September 12, 2023, and that the order remains in effect”.
“No members of Mohbad’s management or his Lawyer have communicated the existence of a will or any such thumb-printed document (as has recently been FALSELY reported) to any member of the family or the public,” the statement reads.
“We would like to state with certainty that if any such document did exist, it would have been duly registered with the Probate Registry.
“We therefore plead with everyone to refrain from sharing false and misleading statements like this.
“All accounts owned and controlled by Imole during his lifetime were immediately put on a Post No Debit order on the 12th of September, 2023. This order remains valid till date.”
The management added that the singer’s accounts will be handed over to the family after the resolution of internal disputes.
