As one of the university’s prominent leaders advocating for ethical behavior, Adio, a native of Ilorin, Kwara state, resides in Gbagada Ifako, Lagos State.
His principled stance against cultism has made him a target for various threats, leading to an unfortunate incident where he lost his mother, Amidu Modupeola.
Adio’s relentless advocacy for the rights of the LGBTQ community further intensifies the challenges he faces, earning him disdain from both the university authorities and cultists.
Despite his parents’ efforts to shield him from harm, Adio’s unstable situation has taken a toll on his family. The pressure and threats have disrupted his education, preventing him from completing his final year at the university.
In a desperate bid for safety, Adio is currently in hiding, seeking refuge from the pervasive presence of confraternities in Nigerian institutions.
Despite multiple police reports, his quest for protection remains elusive.”
