A 18 year-Old suspect, Elikor Ehud has been arrested for allegedly broken into a church and stole the Church Tithes at Ejigbo area of the State.
It was learnt that on October 10, at about 7:45p.m. one Pastor Moses Nwoke of Divine Chosen Vine Ministry, reported at Ejigbo Station that after Church Service unknown person broke the wooden Boxes placed on the Alter in their Church.
Pastor Nwoke was said to have told the Ejigbo Divisional Police Officer (DPO), that the wooden boxes were meant for Tithes and Special Seeds of Faith Offering and all the money for were stolen by the suspect.
Confirming the story, The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Bala Elkana said, a thorough investigation was conducted by a team of police detectives from Ejigbo Division.
Elkana said, the suspect was later arrested on October 15, and confessed of stealing N670,000,00 from the Church Boxes.
During interrogation, the suspect mention the one Lucky as his accomplice and efforts are being made to arrest the suspect at large.
The Police Spokesperson, however, said the suspect would be charged to Court soon.
