Following the demise of Oba James Adedokun Adegoke, Akunraledoye, another Apetu of Ipetumodu town in Ife North Local Government area of Osun State has been selected, he is Prince Joseph Olugbenga Oloyede.
This was disclosed in the official letter duly signed by the Arole Oduduwa, Olofi Adimula, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja 11, forwarded to the Supervisor for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in the state seeking for final preparation for the official coronation and presentation of staff of office to the new Apetu of Ipetumodu land.
According to the Ooni, “This is my consent as the prescribed authority in Ife land in accordance with section 18 (6) & (c) of the Chief law, Cap 25 Laws of Osun State 2002 and paragraph (a) of the schedule to Osun State legal Notice 2 of 1997 titled ” Delegation of Functions “.
Prince Oloyede is from Latimogun of Aribile Ruling House of the ancient Ipetumodu.
