In order to collaborate with the government in tackling the issue of current insecurity in the Country, a non governmental organization called, Oodua Progressive Care-Initiative, OPCI, is organising a one day lecture on the way forward in finding lasting solution to the situation.
According to the National President and Coordinator of the organization, Chief (Dr) Maruff Olanrewaju in a Press Statement personally signed and made available to Journalists in Osogbo, Osun State Capital on Thursday, “Issues of security should not be left for security agencies alone rather all hands must be on desk in bringing normality into our society.
” We must join hands with government in fighting insecurity in our Country while we have to put an end to the incessant killing, wanton assassination and kidnapping in our society.
Enough is enough”.
According to the statement, the Theme of the lecture which is expected to hold at the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation, OSBC, Oke Bale, Osogbo on Tuesday the 23rd of July is, “The Roles of Individual, NGO and the Community on how to curtail security challenges facing the Nation”.
People from all walks of life have been invited to attend the lecture which include, the Commissioner of Police, Osun State Command, The state Commandant, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, the state Director, Directorate of Security Services, DSS, the Deputy Speaker, Osun State House of Assembly, Barrister Femi Popoola while The Ataoja of Osogbo land, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun, Larooye 11, will be the royal father of the day.
The OPCI is Oodua Progressive Care Initiatives which is a non-governmental organization founded in 2017 with dual mandate of socio-protection and progressive nationalism which is duly registered with the appropriate agencies of the Federal Government with members spread across the Country.
