Insecurity: Don’t Take Laws Into Your Own Hands- Dooshima Appeals To Benue Residents In Oyo State

The Special Adviser to Oyo State Governor on Inter Governmental Affairs and Northern States Laison Officer, Hon. Dooshima Aneh has recently appealed to the Benue state indigenes residing in Oyo state to remain law abiding citizens.

Dooshima who addressed the indigenes in Ibadan on Saturday June 5, 2021 stated that disclosed that Nigerians living in Oyo state is afforded equal opportunities to fulfill their desired dreams.

“This gathering is essentially meant to reassure our people that the present administration of Engr. Seyi Makinde is poised to jettison ethnic considerations in the affairs of the state.

This administration is ready to give every law abiding Nigerians who reside in the state a sense of belonging and a platform to thrive. There is no form of discriminatory treatment of residents along ethnic or religious lines.”

The special adviser noted further that TIV indigenes are mostly farmers and also farm in the state adding that herdsmen do pass through their farms. She urged them to avoid any form of trouble should in case any issue arise but rather channel their complaints to the right authorities rather than take laws into their own hands.

While addressing the insecurity challenge the country is currently faced with, Dooshima said the country has continued to grapple with security challenges of different forms.

She however called on the Federal Government to take urgent steps to stem the ugly tide of banditry, terrorism, kidnapping, and the senseless killing of innocent Nigerians in different parts of the country.

Also, the Director General of Oyo State Liason Office, Abuja and Lagos, Hon. Busari Olayemi while addressing journalists at the event said Hon. Dooshima’s performance since her assumption into office has been exceptional.

” she has been helping the State government to mediate between the Northerners, she has been helpful when it comes to matters that involves the State and the Northerners and she has been very wonderful, she is playing her part very well, I cannot speak hausa language, but she does and understand very well, so she has been very helpful, if it’s a SouthWest affairs then I will be well invoved because that is my area where I can address without any doubts, we are all working as a team to ensure we deliver good governance to the people of Oyo State.” he said
