The ancient town of Ileogbo, yesterday launched a public opening of Atokejoye Market, an international trading centre.
Presiding over by the Olu of Ileogbo, HRM Oba Habeeb Adetoyese, Arowookunjoye II, the grand commissioning witnessed huge presence of traders from within and outside Ileogbo who publicly displayed their goods for patronage.
To the surprise of enthusiastic traders was the double price offers for various goods by the Olu of Ileogbo as encouragement for sellers while free buses were equally provided to and fro for traders as incentive.
The market located at Amuludun junction, Iwo/Ibadan expressway, Ileogbo is a weekly public market where varieties of goods will be available for interested buyers/sellers.
The centre is a daily market for agricultural products while public display of all goods holds every Thursday of the week.
Oba Adetoyese stated his dream is to promote the market to an international standard, urging sons, daughters, residents and visitors of the town to invite traders from across the country to relate their business with the market.
The Olu of Ileogbo, Ileogbo Unity Forum under the leadership of Evangelist Remi Osuolale hereby called on general public to patronize the market for their trade promotion and lucrative marketing.
Presence at the official opening were the Olu of Ileogbo in Council, officials of Ileogbo Unity Forum, Executives of Ileogbo Day Planning Committee under Mr. Anthony Owolabi, officials of Ileogbo Development Forum and various trading associations.
