Nigeria born International Okpotu Anthony speaks on his professional career and says if not football he would prefer to be a Catholic Priest.
He made this know in an interview recently and spoke on his love for priesthood but as it is the football has his attention now.
The former Lobi Stars player while speaking on his achievement outside the shores of Nigeria believes that God’s grace will give greater connection in life.
“My opinion is this, I believe we all have destiny and time. God’s grace supercedes all because with it you will have that connection to show your massive talent.”
Furthermore, he spoke on his first full season with his recent club Union Sportive Monastiriene (USM) in the Tunisian Ligue 1 and also playing for the National Team in Nigeria is not certain because in football anything is possible.
” I will say he season is close to perfect but that will only happen when we’ve won something together to remember this particular season and about the Super Eagles, I can’t say for now if I will be one of the players but this is football and anything is possible.”
Also speaking on his recognition as the best foreign player, the former Lobi Stars says he is so happy for the recognition because it shows that in Nigeria, we have good quality players.
While speaking on the difference the NPFL and the Tunisian League In terms of payment, Tony has this to say
” There’s difference and it also depends on your status, your managers negotiation which is also very common in the NPFL.”
