The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, on Thursday denied claims that he was opposed to the calls that the country should restructured.
Abubakar was reported to have kicked against the restructuring the country at the opening ceremony of the national colloquium organised by the Nigeria Labour Congress.
However, the Sultan in reaction to the media report, said while speaking at the 25th anniversary event of the National Broadcasting Commission that he was misquoted by a section of the media.
He said what he was opposed to was the disintegration of the country as proposed by some groups.
He maintained that he wanted a fair and just society where the right of every Nigerian would be respected
