….Tasks them to improve development in the federal constituency
Honorable member representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro federal constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims has urged the state house of assembly members representing the various State constituencies to sustain efforts that will improve development in the federal constituency.
In a statement personally signed by the federal lawmaker, while congratulating the members on their appointment into house standing committees, Hon Halims called for more collaboration between Him and the four members as he assures that he is committed to sustaining his relationship with the honorable members for the good and benefit of the constituency.
He confirmed knowledge of how the members opened individual constituency office(s) for positive response to their constituent’s quest for improved legislation, an all inclusive stewardship, tenure that provide accountability and transparency in the area stressing on the need to work together for the progress of the people in particular and constituency at large.
“In addition to the proactive step of opening constituency offices, I want to appeal to you to go beyond what you have been named with at the committee level and press further for huge impacts to ensure that many constituents benefit from your tenure in office. Thus, I am appealing on behalf of our constituents for you to issue stern gestures towards a greater constituency.”
By the new house standing committees arrangement, Rt. Hon Ahmed Mohammed of Ankpa I State Constituency is the Chairman of the House Committee on Special Duties and Legislative Compliance, while his Ankpa II Counterpart, Hon Alfa Momoh Rabiu is the Chairman of the House Committee on Local Government Administration and Chieftaincy Affairs.
On the other hand, Hon (Prince) Musa Hilarry Collins of Omala State Constituency is the Chairman of the House Committee on Finance while His Olamaboro counterpart, Hon Anthony Alewo Ujah is the Chairmen of Lands, Housing, Environment and Natural Resources.
