Having observed the level of commitment of His Excellency Governor Bello Matawalle in instituting peace and development in Zamfara state, Qatar Charity has offered to construct boreholes, schools and places of worship in the State.
The charity organization headed by its Executive Secretary Hamdi Muhammad visited the governor and expressed its appreciation over his commitment to finding lasting solutions to the menace of banditry and his decision to provide social amenities to rural settlements.
Mr. Hamdi pointed out that their projects are meant to complement government’s efforts in the provision of social amenities. Part of the projects to be executed for 2019 include 15 motorized boreholes, 20 hand pumps and 15 mosques and by next year schools will be constructed. Governor Matawalle has signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in fulfillment of the terms for the charity projects.
It could be recalled that the Matawalle-led administration has vowed to provide social amenities to rural settlements as part of the Ruga project endorsed for the sustainability of peace in the state.
