A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the interim forfeiture of 40 landed properties belonging to Ike Ekweremadu, the embattled former Deputy Senate President who is currently detained in the United Kingdom.
The order was issued by Justice Inyang Ekwo in response to an ex-parte motion filed and moved by Ibrahim Buba on behalf of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
The Judge ordered the EFCC to publish the interim forfeiture order of the properties in a national daily within seven days of granting the order.
On Friday, the EFCC posted photos of the affected properties in Enugu and Abuja on their social media pages.
