Chairman of the Osun State People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Dr Bayo Faforiji has lauded the supreme court of Nigeria for identifying with the masses.
The Chairman said this in a release signed by the director of media and publicity of the party Mr Idowu Afolami.
According to the chairman, the unanimous decision taken by the judges of the supreme court on the crisis rocking the party has shown that the hope of the common man still rests in the judiciary.
“It is an indication that judiciary is the last hope of the common man which has been proved beyond reasonable doubt” he stated
“This victory is for the people of Nigeria in general and Osun State in particular”.
He disclosed that all attempts by the ruling party APC to gag the judiciary and turn the country to a one party state has already failed.
He however called on the warring factions to bury their hatchets and work for the unity of the party, adding that the party must consolidate on its gain in the just concluded bye election in the state which he said was a product of unity of the party.
He stated further that the major tasks before him as the party’s helmsman in Osun state is to bring everyone on board and ensure that no one is left behind in the onerous tasks of rebuilding the party.
