The Olowa of Igbara-Oke kingdom, HRM, Oba Dr. Francis Adefarakanmi Agbede, wishes to felicitate Nigerians, particularly, the Christians on the occasion of the 2019 Easter Celebration. He urged them to continue to live in love, peace and tolerance, which are some of the attributes ofn our Lord Jesus Christ
Oba Agbede said this celebration commemorates the death and resurrection of our savior, Jesus Christ, and it is a time to emulate the virtues of forgiveness, sacrifice and meekness which Jesus Christ demonstrated in the course of his ministrations.
According to him, the Christianity we enjoy today and our salvation is a product of inestimable sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ on the cross. He said this season should serve as a reminder to all for the selflessness, love, sacrifice and tolerance of Jesus Christ.
He urged them to reflect on the sacrifices made by Jesus Christ and use this season to show love to one another irrespective of religious beliefs, and contribute positively to the good of humanity.
He said Christians should lead by example in terms of contributing meaningfully to the growth and development of nation, and called on all citizens to pray continually for peace, unity and progress of our beloved country, Nigeria.
He prayed that the joys of Easter and the Blessings of Christ’s infinite grace for mankind fill our lives, our families, our communities, state and nation at large.
