Police say a grenade found at a second-hand clothing store in Toronto’s west end is real, but does not have the ability to detonate.
Toronto police say they were called to a Value Village location on Rogers Road near Keele Street around 10 a.m. Friday for reports of a grenade inside.
Police confirm a grenade was found in a box inside the store. Investigators believe it is a real device but the explosives disposal unit determined it was unable to detonate.
The building has been evacuated for the investigation. No injuries were reported.
Rogers Road was closed in both directions but the road has since cleared.
